How much for the aqueous coat, you ask? Not much when you consider how good it will make your presentation folder printing look!
What is aqueous coat-ing? Well, obviously it's not something you or I wear. But it is one of the best protective layers that you can add to most full color printing pieces, like presentation folders.
I checked with one of our favorite printing sites, www.my1stop.com/Presentation-Folder-Printing.aspx just to see what I could learn about aqueous coating. Here's what I learned . . .
I found out that aqueous coating is a water based coating. It is applied in the final stages of printing to enhance and protect the surface of a printed piece, like full color presentation folders. It's water based, so it's a more "green" way to add protection to full color printing than opting for say, old-school varnishes.
Costly? Not really. I was surprised to see that on even a small order of 500 custom presentation folders, my price increased by less than a dime per folder. Not bad considering the folders will look better - longer - when I opt for the aqueous coating.
