Presentation folder printing can be done in almost any size. The size of printed folders is typically measured with the folder closed. This means that 9" x 12" printed folders will measure 12" x 18" when completely spread open. The standard sizes for printed folders are 9" x 12" and 9" x 14.5". 
To determine the right size for your printed folders, think about what the folder will need to hold. Standard sizes work great for most uses and are just right for standard and legal sized documents including brochures, flyers, sell sheets, contracts and price lists.
Consider custom folders if your contents aren't typically sized documents. Often tri-fold brochures, rack cards and uniquely shaped materials will fit into presentation folders better than in a standard size. In these cases, consider special shapes and sizes to give your inserts a tailored-fit look that helps them really stand out.

Pockets on both sides, one side, no pockets? (Question: can a folder have no pockets?) Make your decision about your pocket folders by answering these three simple questions:
- First, how much "stuff" do my folders need to hold?
- Second, do my pockets need to be printed?
- Third, do I need slits in the pockets for business cards?
We offer printed folders with almost any pocket configuration you will need. Typically printed folders have the pocket on the right with business cards slits running horizontally, and the actual pockets are not printed. But some pocket folders have two pockets, one with a business card slit, one without. Since we print in photo quality, many of the presentation folder printing orders we receive have printing on both pockets.
Our pockets are a standard size, measuring approximately 4" by 4". Business cards slits can be either horizontal or vertical to accommodate either direction of the business card. As always, custom folder pocket configurations are available.

Printed Folders - Paper Stock [top] |
Standard paper stock for printed folders is 12 pt. The term 12 pt. simply refers to the "weight" of the paper stock. The stock can be coated on one or two sides. Coated one side paper has a gloss-like coating on one side and a matte finish on the other side. Coated two side paper stock has the gloss-like coating on both sides. Printed folders use paper stocks that are specially formulated to give you maximum color vibrancy and accuracy when printing on our photo quality equipment.
The paper stock you choose for your printed folders should be based on how many sides of your folder are to be printed. For example, if your printed folders will be printed on both sides the suggested stock choice is our coated two sides paper. If you want to create a different look on the inside of your printed folders then select a matte finish for the inside and a gloss finish outside. Presentation folders printed only on the outside is typically done on coated 1 side stock.
