Phone Card Pricing

Phone Card Printing [top]

Prepaid phone cards are a great promotional item that are customized with your graphics and marketing message. Great design and low per minute costs can make for a premier phone card promotional program.

Customized pre paid phone cards basics are straight forward and very familiar. Your pr-paid phone cards will work just like the ones you see in convenience and other retail stores. Each of your cards is printed with a toll-free number and a pin number. The card holder simply dials the toll free number, the pin number and the number they want to dial. Some promotional cards also include a 10 to 15 second promotional message that begins after the pin number is entered. The card holder can enter the number they want to call only after the message is complete. A fair exchange for being able to call family and friends for free!

Card design and the pre-paid minutes assigned to a card are the keys to a successful program. Create an attention grabbing design by combining your artwork with just the right card materials for your project. At My1Stop we use high quality printing to assure that your design will look sharp even after prolonged use. Getting the best per minute rate for your phone cards program is quite easy. The My1Stop customer service team can help you get phone card printing with all the features you need - at a great value. The guidelines below will help you successfully start your pre paid phone card printing project.

To get the best value for your phone card printing budget, we recommend a full color graphic design printed onto a white background. Printing in full color can cost slightly more but full color enables you to use high quality graphics including photos, logos or multiple color lines of text. Printing on white cards tends to lower your material costs when compared to printing on colored cards. As a result, full color phone card printing can be done for nearly the same cost as one color pricing.

Phone Card Printing - Sizes [top]

Most phone card printing is done on 3 3/8" x 2 1/8" cards. Traditional credit cards are printed in this size which is also referred to as the CR 80 size. The key card or key fob card is a compact 1 1/6" x 2 7/8" size that is growing in popularity. Keep in mind that this smaller size, while less expensive, does restrict the message and marketing you can do on the card. Phone card printing can also be done on custom sizes and shapes. While custom sizes and shapes provide unique designs that can stand out, they do add cost and increase turnaround time.

For most promotional phone card programs, the 3 3/8" x 2 1/8" card size is definitely the best bet. The standard size gives you plenty of design space to include your logo and marketing messages. The standard phone card is a familiar size to your patrons and will fit well into purses, wallets and pockets. Also, My1Stop carries full line of phone card carriers as well - the perfect solution for distribution of your pre paid phone cards.

Phone Card Printing - Material [top]

The long time standard for phone card printing is a standard white 30 mil card. This is a durable and economical choice and is the same material used in most credit cards printing. Lighter weight, 20 mil and 12 mil white cards are also readily available. These lighter weight phone cards are not always the most economical choice.  The thicker, 30 mil cards will tend to wear better and last longer. Other, more exotic phone card materials are available. While most custom materials are less economical than our standard white 30 mil plastic cards, our customer service team will be happy to discuss all of your material options with you any time.

Phone Card Printing - Options [top]

How much will you pay per minute? That's the most important question to ask when picking a phone card printing company. You will have pricing options depending on how much overall time you purchase for your program and if you allow "re-charging" of the card. Another option to consider for promotional phone cards is messaging. You can have a pre-recorded message played to every card holder each time they use their card. After keying in there PIN number - but before they can enter the number they want to call - your message is played. If you opt to include messaging, you will have choices for the length or your message, varying messages and other features.

If you're not sure which options you need, review your answers to the questions below or contact customer service any time:

Phone Card Printing Options Questions:

Will your design require a standard size or will a key-chain size work?

Do you plan to include messaging?

Do your phone cards require a barcode for tracking or distribution purposes?

How much call time will each card have?

How will you distribute your prepaid phone cards?

As an example, will your phone cards include a message - will they include 30 minutes of call time - will your graphics fit on a key fob size card? If so, you'll want to prepare a message of 10 to 20 seconds design your graphics for a 1 1/6" x 2 7/8" space printed on both sides - and make sure that your call per minute price is based on 30 minutes per card. The message and number of minutes on each card and the total number of cards will determine the price per minute for calling. Add-in the costs to print the cards and you'll have your basic costs.
