Overlaminate: What's this?

OVERLAMINATES

can be applied after printing to most materials, except Lexan®. The overlaminate will provide additional protection, and can create a high gloss or matte finish. For most uses, an overlaminate is not required to protect the label.

1 and 2 mil Gloss Polyester Laminates Clear high gloss finish. Best used on flat surfaces

1 mil Tedlar UV Guard Overlaminate used to protect labels from UV exposure.

1 mil Matte Polyester This overlaminate provides thermal stability and moisture resistance.

8 mil Convex Vinyl Used for labels that need applied to complex curves, such as helmets. Extra thick for impact protection and rough environments.

8 mil Velvet Polypropylene This overlaminate film is used to achieve a durable, scuff/abrasion resistant finish.

LexValue™ 5 mil Velvet The LexValue™ overlamination process can be utilized on printed Vinyl or Polyester as an alternate to subsurface printed Lexan® for creating control panels or nameplates.


Laminating Adhesive: What's this?

LAMINATING ADHESIVE

You only need to choose a laminating adhesive when using Lexan® material. All other materials already have adhesive. Please note that using a thicker adhesive will not increase the strength of the bond to most surfaces; it can in fact it could possibly do the exact opposite to the final product. There are three choices of adhesives to choose from:

2 mil 3M #467MP used for mainly smooth surfaces

2 mil LSE used for adhering to Low Surface Energy

5 mil 3M #468MP used for very rough surfaces

FAST TRACK (Waive Proof) - FREE of charge, we will take your PRESS READY artwork file and print as is with no changes. Fast Track productions time begins upon receiving usable art.

Hard Copy - $75.00 FEE, we will print a color matched paper proof before it goes to PRESS and OVERNIGHT the proof to you. Hard Copy is sent Next Day Air within 3 business days of receiving usable art.

Your artwork can be uploaded after you have checked out or at a later time for your convenience.

After Checkout - You will be asked to upload artwork and will be given a number of options, including writing a message about the art, adding multiple documents and approximate upload speeds.

Upload Later - You may choose to upload your artwork later. If so, simply use the link that will be provided in your confirmation email and it will take you to the upload page.
