Custom Magnets - Printing

My1Stop.com has two ways you can print custom magnets; spot colors or digital colors. Digital printing enables better photo quality printing in full color - using any colors in the spectrum. Digital printing is also the best solution for printing photos.  Promotional magnets can get more use if printed in full color, including a picture.  These color options allow you to control cost and get exactly the custom magnet you need.

Custom Magnets - Materials

When selecting a magnetic material, consider where the magnet will be used and what it needs to hold down - if anything. For most applications, our 19 mil custom magnets are the perfect solution. However, if you expect the magnets to be used to hold papers underneath them on a file cabinet or refrigerator, choose our 34 or 39 mil material.

The most commonly used material for custom magnets is white 19 mil magnetic sheet. This is the time-proven standard specifically developed for consumers to stick to fridges and for businesses to stick to filing cabinets. The other standard thicknesses are 34 and 39 mil. These sheets will hold paper underneath it. Please use caution with either of our magnetic materials around computers.

Custom Magnets - Sizes

What is the right size for your custom magnets? Think about how big the message needs to be - and think about your overall budget. Most refrigerator and filing cabinet magnets are business card sized, 2“ x 3 1/2“ or 3 3/8“ x 2 1/8“. A new and popular size is 2 1/2" x 4", however most magnets larger than this tend to get expensive and difficult to distribute. If you want calendar magnets, you need an option for 2 1/2" x 4" minimum so that the dates can be seen.

Custom Sizes

Custom shapes and sizes can draw attention and stand out on a fridge or cabinet. We offer many standard sizes and can provide you with a custom quote for almost any size or shape of magnet.

Custom Magnets - Mailing

How do you plan to distribute your custom magnets? Are you looking for a unique shape or will standard sizes work? To decide which options you need to ask yourself three simple questions:

  • First, will these custom magnets be mailed?
  • Second, will a standard size magnet work with my message?
  • Third, will my custom magnets need to hold papers under them?
