What stock can be used?
Normally 28# to 32# stock is used.
Do I have to have the laminate?
The liner applied to the back of the sheet prior to die cutting does apply a laminate coating. The face can be left open if needed.
Can the laminate be applied after running in my printer?
We can use a “Dual-Lam” construction which allows you to print the card, remove it from the carrier, re-apply it face down and push it out the backside. This process seals all printed information under the protective laminate.
How many cards can be created from one sheet?
Depending on the size of the document and the print method this can vary. Normally you would see one to three cards on a sheet.
How durable are laminated cards?
They are very durable under normal use. The use and life span of the card should be considered with choosing the proper type of card. An insurance company may use a paper card as the life span may only be 6 months. However, a restaurant may choose dual lamination to add impact and security as well as durability to last several years. |
