Product Details
My1Stop® U-Seal™ is a revolutionary new concept in self-seal mailing applications. Though similar to pressure seal in using Z, C and V fold sequences; U-Seal™ differs in many other areas. U-Seal™ requires only 10# of pressure to create a bond. This means you can literally hand seal your mailer. No offline equipment is necessary with minimal sealing pressure required; most folders on the market will seal the document.
In addition, continuous bursters can be used to create the mailed document. By utilizing a slitter/merger or plowfold unit, U-Seal™ can be designed in such a way that the slitting and bursting action creates the mailer as it leaves the burster. This means any post processing folder/sealers are no longer necessary. Also, since U-Seal™ is a light seal system, opening the document can be accomplished by peeling the document apart; therefore you do not loose any print territory to tear off margins.
Types of applications for U-Seal are grade reports, class schedules, activity notices, notice of cancellation, benefits summary, policy changes, statements, credit/debit memos, invoices, special promotions, fund raising, reservation confirmation, subscription renewal, monthly billing, shut-off notices, collection notice, pledge agreement, questionnaires, product promotion, expiration notices, license renewal, subscription billing, gift certificates.
Schools, insurance companies, business-to-business, direct mail houses, hospitality, newspapers, utility companies, collection agencies, fund raising, medical, government, home services, publishing, manufacturing, retirement, and the retail industry have found uses for U-Seal. Can I use U-Seal™ for payroll checks?
As U-Seal is not a confidential seal by nature, we suggest you make that decision based upon the application.
What folder is suggested for sealing U-Seal™ ?
Formax has a folder/sealer designed for this product known as the 320U.
Can U-Seal™ be used with other products?
Yes, U-Seal™ can be produced with integrated labels, integrated cards or Form-N-Envelope among other.
What is the biggest advantage of U-Seal™ over pressure seal?
Actually there are two. First, no equipment purchase is required. You can print the document then fold and seal it on your desktop. Second, in long run continuous applications, pressure seal still requires a folder/sealer after the bursting phase. U-Seal™ can be designed to seal at the burster, thus eliminating any post processing other than postal coding.
