Square Cut Labels - Design
Square cut labels can be designed for 144 different label sizes printed in up to 4 spot (or PMS) ink colors. Full color printing of photos or CMYK graphic is not a design option for square cut label printing. For excellent printing results, include these elements in your square cut label design: select a label size that ranges from 1/2" to 6" in width and length and use up to 4 different ink colors in your label design.
To begin the design process, we suggest that you first decide on the square cut label size you need. After determining the correct label size, you can move to graphic layout. Laminates and varnish - My1Stop® includes a laminate or varnish depending on the intended use for your labels. My1Stop® includes laminates for resistance to abrasion, resistance to moisture, and a varnish for resistance to UV light and fading. Barcodes - 3 of 9 is the most commonly used barcode in square cut label printing. Most barcode scanners read 3 of 9 barcode symbols. Code 128 barcodes, code 2 of 5 barcodes or no barcode are also available options from My1Stop®. Your square cut label barcodes and numbers are mechanically printed with outstanding black-to-white printing ratios, providing optimal barcode readability. UPC codes are printed in black and are considered artwork rather than numbering.
Human readable numbers - Square cut labels can be printed with human readable numbers. These numbers can be printed to match your barcodes or they can be printed to be used as standalone numbers. Human readable numbers are helpful when scanners are not in use.
Roll unwind direction choices - Roll unwind direction determines the orientation of your artwork to the surface of the label material - and the direction that your labels will be unwound from the roll. Choose one of the 8 possible label unwind positions when using our instant online pricing tool.
Cardboard core sizes - My1Stop® offers 1" or 3" cardboard cores. Core size is an important consideration if labels will be applied by any type of machine.
