What other options should you consider? Answering the questions below will help you determine the best options for your custom label printing project:
Three simple questions:
- First, what will my labels stick to?
- Second, what do I need to display on my labels?
- Third, do my labels need to be a special shape or size?
Once you have the answers to those three questions, you can choose the best options for your custom label printing project.
What will my custom labels stick to? If your labels will stick to a clear bottle, do you want a clear label? If your labels will stick to plastic you need a special adhesive. For example, if your lotions come in a glass jar and a plastic bottle you might consider these options:
- Custom labels for a glass jar: Consider using a clear film label with permanent adhesive if you have a colorful liquid. If you use a clear label, be sure to use white behind your artwork to make sure your colors stand out. Light colors - or colors the same as your liquid tend to get lost in this custom label application.
- Custom labels for a plastic bottle: Use either a clear film label or a white paper or white vinyl label with permanent adhesive - made to adhere to plastic. If you use a clear label, again be sure to use white behind your artwork to make sure your colors stand out. Using a white background prevents loss of color - but does affect the "view" into the bottle.
